Lucky and blessed enough to have been accepted into two more shows here in Mississippi.
This piece was accepted into the 49th Annual Bi-State Art Competition and Exhibition at the Meridian Museum of Art in Meridian, Mississippi. The gallery show is up now and runs through September 23, 2023. The gallery is located in the former Carnegie Library and is an absolutely beautiful space. I’m hoping I can get down there for the closing show and awards presentation on the 23rd.
The third piece I’ve had accepted is this new image titled, “Eight Years Apart.” This was accepted into the Cotton District Art Festival Juried Art Show in Starkville, MS. The show will be hanging during the Art Festival and afterward through October 20, 2023, at the Visual Arts Gallery on University Drive. I went back and looked at my exhibitions list and I’ve not been in this show since 2009, that’s the last time I entered a piece for this competition.
I set a goal for myself in January to enter some art shows and competitions and I have been so blessed to be accepted into three of the four I’ve entered this year. Thank you to everyone who has left such kind and encouraging comments on Facebook. Yall really are the best.
