We live in strange and interesting times friends. Take advantage of simple pleasures where you can, like sitting by the lake with friends and watching your kids enjoy the fun of a country fireworks display.
Thank you to our veterans as well as those who are currently serving. You make our way of life possible and more than anything I give thanks for you. As the granddaughter of two veterans who served in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam I’m always so thankful there are people out there that decide to sacrifice a comfortable life at home to serve abroad and help defend our freedoms. Even if you’re dissatisfied with the current political climate here at home, please keep these men and women in your thoughts today. I’ve been saddened to see so many people post online that they are not celebrating the 4th of July this year, or that it should have been cancelled all together. I don’t see it that way. I see it as a day to be thankful for what I have and to remember those that are not able to enjoy time with their families or be at home today. I have a luxury many do not.
Didn’t want to get to heavy, but it’s been on my mind all this morning. Love you all and have a great day!
